Proceedings of the 1980 Barrier Island Forum and Workshop is the second in a series of biennial meetings sponsored by the National Park Service (North Atlantic Region) concerning the management of barrier islands and other coastal barriers. The aim of this conference was to give the public, managers, and decision-makers current information on research affecting management and an overview of federal policies for protecting coastal barriers. Contents include workshops on "Human Impacts" and "Engineering Solutions to Coastal Problems."
