Bazzano J. PACN Inventory Herpetological Survey Puuhonua o Honaunau NHP, Kaloko-Honokohau NHP, Puukohola Heiau NHS. 2004. National Park Service
Little is known of Hawaii's herpetofaunal distribution beyond basic island-specific species lists. In an effort to address this paucity of data, a project to inventory herp species on NPS property in Hawaii was developed. This study is the first segment of this comprehensive inventory project, addressing the three coastal national parks in West Hawaii: PUHO, KAHO, and PUHE. Work was conducted between July 19 and September 14, 2004, surveying for all reptile and amphibian species that had established populations on park properties.
