Vegetation Community Monitoring Geodatabase for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network
James KM. 2010. Vegetation Community Monitoring Geodatabase for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network
This geodatabase houses the spatial data for the Heartland Network's plant community project. There are 2 feature classes for each of the 11 parks that plant community monitoring takes place in. One file is the end points of the plant community transects. The other file is the center point of each site, attributed with its soil and topo-edaphic values. This dataset contains sampling locations for long-term ecological monitoring of plant communities. Rationale for the spatial sampling design is given in James, K.M. et al., 2009. Vegetation community monitoring protocol for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network. Natural Resource Report NPS/HTLN/NRR - 2009/141. The dataset includes two feature classes for each of the 11 parks that plant community monitoring takes place in. One file is the end points of the plant community transects. The other file is the center point of each site, attributed with its soil and topo-edaphic values.
