Breeding Bird Monitoring Geodatabase for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network

Peitz DG. 2007. Breeding Bird Monitoring Geodatabase for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network

Brief Description: Geodatabase contains sampling point locations for HTLN breeding bird monitoring program. Sampling point locations are located systematically to allow species density estimates using Distance analysis (S.T. Buckland et al., 2001). Full Description: Birds are an important component of park ecosystems, and their high body temperature, rapid metabolism, and high ecological position in most food webs make them a good indicator of the effects of local and regional change in ecosystems. This geodatabase houses the breeding bird monitoring sites for the Heartland Inventory and Monitoring Network.
