Cave ecology

A summary of the papers presented at a symposium on cave ecology held by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Cleveland on December 27, 1963. The author points out that the majority of delegates either dealt directly with or referred to the cave ecology of Mammoth Cave National Park at this symposium. The author lists reasons that Mammoth Cave is so important in cave ecological research. A list of presenters and their topics are given. In some cases, results of their research are discussed.
