Williams E and Waller DM. 2010. Examining Botrychium ferns in the Upper Peninsula, MI with genetics and morphology. Pages 50. In Western Great Lakes Research Conference. St. Paul, Minnesota. March 16-17, 2010. University of Minnesota. St. Paul, Minnesota

Several ferns in the genus Botrychium are listed as endangered, threatened, or of special concern in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Identification is difficult due to reduced morphological characters, therefore physical features are correlated with genetic differences and to species-specific characters to improve species definitions.
