This report presents the Focused Site Investigation (FSI) conducted by Michael Baker Jr., Inc. (Baker) at five select oil and gas sites at Big Thicket National Preserve (BITH), Beaumont, Texas (TX). This FSI Report has been prepared under General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Number GS-00F-0032M for the National Park Service (NPS). The objective of these FSIs is to provide recommendations for the restoration of each of these sites to natural conditions to the extent practical. To meet this objective the primary task was to approximately delineate the horizontal and vertical extent of soil contamination and identification of possible migration pathways and receptors. Additionally, impacts to surface water and groundwater were assessed at Site 181 to meet the request of the Water Resources Division (WRD) of the National Park Service (NPS).
