An approved Fire Management Plan and the institution of a Fire Management Program have allowed GSMNP to restore an important natural disturbance to various natural communities as well as individual plant populations. This report documents four rare plant species that are being managed with prescribed fire: Daisy-leaved moonwort, Bittercress, Goldenseal, and Indian grass.
