The author modeled the spread of non-native plants in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Results found that invasion sites can be distinguished and that spatial signals were stronger than environmental signals at this stage of the invasion process. Also surveyed was Paulownia tomentosa along roads and evidence that existing patches will not coalesce over time.
