Annual trail report with information about visitor use and exotic plant management. The Harding Icefield Trail is the longest maintained trail in Kenai Fjords National Park and is a popular day trip for visitors. The trail continued to receive heavy visitor use during the 2009 summer field season although it was slightly down from 2008. The reroute that was completed in October 2008 was opened to the public in the beginning of the 2009 season. Continued exotic plant management along the trail determined that the nonnative common dandelions (Taraxacum officinale) and common plantain (Plantago major) along the trail appear to be decreasing. However, blue grass (Poa annua) was observed growing along the trail almost all the way to Marmot Meadows.
