This report provides Olympic National Park (OLYM) management with alternative actions for reclaiming the Quinault Quarry. National Park Service Mining and Minerals Branch (MMB) staff visited OLYM in late November, 1992 for site analysis and data gathering to develop reclamation alternatives. The alternatives discussed below are conceptual in nature and final reclamation design is necessary before work can begin. Final design includes preparing plan sheets and specifications for a construction contract. The intent of the alternatives are aimed at conforming the site to the surrounding conditions and providing for a rapid recovery rate using the most cost-effective solutions.
