The goal of this study is to analyze the Phenology Master Database maintained by the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont. Using data collected from 1985 to 2007, 25 species of plants, eight species of birds, and two other species were selected for analysis. Date of first appearance was determined for each species based on the 365 day calendar year.
