Harding Icefield Trail Sign-in Register Calibration Summary 2008

Kriedeman C. 2008. Harding Icefield Trail Sign-in Register Calibration Summary 2008. Kenai Fjords National Park

Number of people hiking on the Harding Icefield Trail throughout the year has been a difficult statistic to collect. The park relies on hikers signing into a register located near the beginning of the trail with their name and number of hikers in their party. It is not mandatory to sign in and many hikers do not. A survey is completed to determine the correction factor. This number is multiplied by the total number of hikers that sign-in to correct for the hikers that did not sign in.
