This polygon dataset depicts Fuel Models for Estimating Fire Behavior in Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. This layer was generated by "crosswalking" a park vegetation cover map. In addition, changes in the fuel model polygons were also made based on other existing GIS layers. These include exotic plant treatment areas and the United States Geological Survey high resolution orthophotographs (2002). The Fuels map was ground truthed by Douglas Raeburn, of Raeburn Environmental Services (Luray, Virginia). This map reflects ground conditions on January 16, 2006.
