The Cavefish, Amblyopsis spelaea, in Northern Kentucky

Barr TC and Kuehne RA. 1962. The Cavefish, Amblyopsis spelaea, in Northern Kentucky. Copeia. 1962(3):662

Speculation that the northern cavefish, Amblyopsis spelaea DeKay, is a relict population within Mammoth Cave National Park is discussed. The historically known distribution of the species is outlined. New populations from northern Kentucky cause a re-evaluation of the original views.
