This Final Report's purpose was to quantify current population status and demographics of black bears in RMNP and to identify important habitat-condition relationships and consequently critical habitats. Our goal was to develop methods to monitor black bear trends and habitat associations, and to identify management strategies to provide or enhance critical habitats of bears in RMNP.
