White paper on the history of peregrine falcon management. Rocky Mountain National Park and Dinosaur National Monument were the first places in the country where peregrine falcons were hacked back into national park units. The reintroduction program started in 1978 and continued until 1990. Peregrine falcons hacked from Rocky Mountain National Park established breeding territories along the Front Range of Colorado.
