This historic structure assessment report concerns the Ranger Station at Gulf Islands National Seashore. The existing ranger station was built about 1906-1910 to replace the original U.S. life saving service station, which was built in 1885. The original structure, before any modification, has similarity to the CALO & FOSU coast guard stations.
