National Park Service Great Lakes I & M Network. Temperate Bat Species at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and Grand Portage National Monument. 2003

An inventory of the bat species at three National Parks in the Great Lakes region. An inventory to determine the occurence of temperate bat species at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and Grand Portage National Monument. The inventory conduced by Kruger and Peterson (2008) consisted of mist netting and acoustic sampling to determine species presence. A re-analysis of the acoustic sampling data by Miller (2010) provides estimates of relative abundance and temporal activity of the species identified.
