The effects of grazing on American beachgrass (Ammophila breviligufata) were assessed using a series of paired plots, one a fenced exclosure and the other a like area open to the horses,located along a 13 mile stretch of beach that extended from Dune Crossing # 1 to the MD- VA line at Dune Crossing #16.
