This report summarizes data collected with the Draft SECN Amphibian Community MonitoringProtocol (Byrne et al., in preparation) at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in 2010. Data were collected at 30 spatially-balanced random locations at the Seashore with two techniques: automated recording devices and visual-encounter surveys. 106 amphibians in six species and 39 reptiles and reptile signs in 15 species, genera, or order were detected. Green treefrog and squirrel treefrog were the most widely distributed amphibians. Six-lined racerunner was the most widely distributed reptile. No non-native amphibians or reptiles were detected.
