This report represents data collected in the 1996 season (February through August) and presents the results of this year's nesting success and offers recommendations that will promote increased productivity in the 1997 nesting season. The piping plover monitoring and management program for the 1996 breeding season followed the recommendations developed as a result of a three year study that concluded in 1991 and experiences gained during the 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 field seasons.
