National Register for Historic Places (polygons)

Yosemite National Park. 2010. National Register for Historic Places (polygons)

These are the sites, buildings, structures and objects listed or eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places in Yosemite National Park. The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) is the official list of the Nation's historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America's historic and archeological resources. This dataset only contains polygons. It does not include listed and eligible properties whose boundaries could not be determined (see NRPoints for that data). Also note that this dataset does not include properties listed for cultural reasons (i.e., archeological districts) due to sensitivity concerns.
