National Natural Landmarks, Midwest Region, Polygons, 2011

Eckhoff J. 2011. National Natural Landmarks, Midwest Region, Polygons, 2011. Midwest Geospatial Support Center

A dataset containing the boundaries of the NNLs in the Midwest Region of the National Park Service. This is a polygon feature class as part of a file geodatabase showing the boundaries of National Natural Landmark sites (NNLs) located in the Midwest Region of the National Park Service. Due to the nature of this dataset as well as the amount of time involved in producing this dataset, the origins of the data are mostly unknown at this point. The production of this dataset has been passed along among various GIS technicians as well. The main contact regarding any source information or general information for the NNLs would be Janet Eckhoff, Regional National Natural Landmarks Coordinator National Parks Service, Midwest Region based out of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area office. Dr. Eckhoff coordinated the efforts to produce this dataset and the Midwest Geospatial Support Center for the National Park Service out of Madison, WI handled the bulk of the geospatial work performed. Note: The NNL Program makes no warranty, express or implied, related to the accuracy or content of this data.
