This report has been developed to accompany the digital geologic map produced by Geologiic Resources Inventory staff for Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park (Hawaii). It contains information relevant to resource management and scienitfic research. Park specific geologic issues, geologic features and processes, a brief geologic history, and a map unit properties table that identifies and describes the resource characteristics of map units in the park area, are included in this report.
