Birds of Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve website and e-book

Swanson SA, Nigro DA, Swanson D, Flamme M. 2003. Birds of Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve website and e-book. National Park Service. Fairbanks, Alaska

INTRODUCTION This website and e-book present the results of a bird inventory conducted in Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve in east central Alaska during the breeding season in June 1999 and 2000. Inventory results are presented in written narrative format and as an interactive information display based on 1) the location in the Preserve and 2) the bird species of interest. Maps of the Preserve allow you to select an area and obtain a list of the species that were detected there during the inventory effort. From these lists or the species Master List you can select a bird species and see its picture, learn about the bird, and view a map of its distribution in the Preserve. Links to descriptions and photos of the Ecological Units (habitat regions) used to summarize the bird data are also provided.
