Modeled Assessment of Atmospheric Deposition Inputs to the Maryland Coastal Bays
Sherwell J and Garrison M. 2004. Modeled Assessment of Atmospheric Deposition Inputs to the Maryland Coastal Bays. Berlin, MD
This report describes a source apportionment analysis of nitrogen deposition in the Maryland Coastal Bays, based on the CALPUFF modeling system. Nutrient nitrogen concentrations on the Delmarva Peninsula are among the highest in the nation and estimates of nutrient N from atmospheric sources may comprise about 320,000 Kg-N/yr and may represent as much as 55% of the total anthropogenic input.
