The Mining and Minerals Branch (MMB) has reviewed the subject document for adequacy and consistencywith park comments on an earlier American Exploration Plan. We also utilized information contained in the National Park Service Cooperative Park Studies Unit (CPSU) Technical Report #9, The Cumulative Impacts of Oil and Gas Operations on Soil and Vegetation Resources of Padre Island National Seashore. Overall, we found the document to be thorough and well written although somewhat confusing due mainly to the lack of page numbers. The detailed discussions of the production processes were particularly well done.
