In accordance with the mineralsmanagement policies of the National Park Service,when a corporate bond or other security is within 60 days of expiration, the agency will notify the operator. This is the officialnotification that the Letter of Credit (S-866729) secured by JP Morgan Guaranty Trust Companyof New York, for American Exploration Company's natural gas operations at Padre Island National Seashore, expires May 31, 1997. If American Exploration Companyfails to replace the Letter of Credit within 15 days prior to the expiration date of May 31, 1997,the Director, Intermountain Region, will initiate steps to secure the expiring security.
