This report provides an account of methodology used for extracting digital shoreline data by: describing the study area, discussing scientific rationale behind the project, providing a brief description of sensors and initial data processing, and discussing techniques for extracting a datum-referenced shoreline from lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs) using ESRI ArcGIS 8.3 software.
