This report summarizes data collected with the Draft SECN Amphibian Community Monitoring Protocol at Cape Lookout National Seashore in 2010. Data were collected at 30 spatially-balanced random locations at the Seashore with two techniques: automated recording devices and visual-encounter surveys. 52 post-metamorphic amphibians in three species and 100 larval amphibians in one species were detected. Observed amphibian species richness was three and the sample adequately characterized species richness. 35 reptiles and reptile signs in seven species were detected. No non-native amphibians or reptiles were detected.
