NPS has allowed AmerEx four years to prepare a plan of operations for multiple operations acquired on December 1, 1989; and for one gas well acquired in July 1992. NPS reviewed a second draft plan on January 22, 1993, however, to date, AmerEx has not corrected the deficiencies NPS identified for the plan to be considered substantially Qomplete for NPS to approve. While SWR established the precedent for using the suspension authority of 36 CFR 9B, the possible suspension of AX will be the first suspension of a "major" oil and gas operator in the NPS.
