In accordance with the Minerals Management Policies of the National Park Service, when a corporate bond or other security is within 60 days of expiration, the National Park Service will notify the operator. This is the official notification that the Letter of Credit (PO 636214) posted by the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. for American Exploration Company's gas operations at Padre Island National Seashore, expires May 31, 1992. American Exploration Company has the option of replacing the Letter of Credit with an acceptable surety bond. Enclosed is the Federal Register listing companies approved to issue bonds.
