Preliminary Assessment of Floyd Bennett Field Coastal Restoration GrantApplication and Shoreline Erosion Problems. JBI twice previously submitted grant application to National Park Service for fund to create a coastal recreation plan. It was rejected both times. However, the second rejection contained specific recommendations for improvements that would increase the competitiveness of the grant request within the NPS process. In responding to these specific critiques, several other questions were generated about shoreline erosion on FBF and the adjacent Jamaica Bay coastal impact zone. These remain to be answered by researching current and future shoreline restoration projects within the Jamaica Bay coastal impact zone.
