Following on from a survey conducted in May of 2004, the current study was targeted to foursmall regions within the Coastal Bays, to assess in detail the nutrient inputs and sources withinthese regions. The Chincoteague Island region showed relatively low water column total nitrogen, but high δ15N (natural isotope abundance), suggesting possible human-derived sources of nitrogen to this area.
