This report compares the exotic plant species that might have existed at Saratoga in 1777 with the exotic plant species present in 1988. Knowledge of European and New York history is necessary to speculate about the vegetation present in 1777. Objectives include: to develop a utilitarian definition of exotic plant species, inventory the entire park, and develop baseline data for exotic plant occurrence in the park.
