Denali National Park and Preserve image mosaic - true color
AK I&M Inventory Program. 2000. Denali National Park and Preserve image mosaic - true color
MrSid compression 20:1 of mosaic of 2 Landsat Thematic Mapper 7 multispectral satellite images (bands 3, 2, 1) for Denali National Park and Preserve. This Denali National Park and Preserve satellite image mosaic was created by the National Park Service Alaska Landcover Mapping Program. Images from the August 16, 2000 TM7 scenes for path/row 70/15 and 70/16 were used along with images from August 28, 1999 for path/row 72/15 and 72/16. Coverage for the Park and Preserve is complete. Several bad data lines from the original image data can be noted in northern part of the image as green, yellow and magenta bands. The mosaic was created using the 30m visible bands (3,2,1) merged with the 15m panchromatic band. The resulting image has a 15m pixel size. The panchromatic band contains some infrared information that "enhances" this true color image. The mosaic is useful down to approximately 1:40,000. The source imagery was generated by the USGS MRLC program and was delivered in Alaska Albers projection - WGS84. The final image was reprojected to NAD 27 using ERDAS IMAGINE rigorous transformation. Spatial accuracy is expected to be ±50m
