American Exploration contracted with Burlington Environmental, Inc. in 1994 to develop a Site Characterization Work Plan for the facility. This plan was designed to identify the nature of contamination associated with certain areas of the site. This plan was completed in October 1994 and was subsequently approved with modifications by the NPS through correspondence dated March 2, 1995.
