The objectives of the weather monitoring protocol are to provide park managers and cooperators with 1) park-specific monthly and annual climate summaries, 2) habitatspecific climate data relevant to predicting population dynamics of two federally listed rare plant species, 3) year-to-year variation in plant communities in relation to yearly climate fluctuations, and 4) input data for National Fire Danger Rating System (NFDRS) fire weather indices calculations.
