This project workplan addresses monitoring needs for the Northeast Temperate Inventory and Monitoring Network including 11 parks (including the Appalachian National Scenic Trail) in the northeastern United States (Figure 1). Parks include: Acadia National Park (ACAD) Appalachian National Scenic Trail (APPA) Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area (BOHA) Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park (MABI) 7 SUNY ESF Proposal for Northeast Temperate Inventory and Monitoring Network Minute Man National Historical Park (MIMA) Morristown National Historical Park (MORR) Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historical Sites (ROVA) Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site (SAGA) Saratoga National Historical Park (SARA) n Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site (SAIR) Weir Farm National Historic Site (WEFA) Our goal is to develop a monitoring program that measures the ecological condition or integrity of communities and ecosystems in the northeast temperate network vital signs monitoring program of the National Park Service.
