Primary Objective: Both quantitative and qualitative observations and data acquisition will be combined for the purpose of documenting the presence of reptile and amphibian species (herpetofauna) and their habitats at each NPS site. More specifically, this project will determine the occurrence, abundance, and distribution of the herpetofauna within Morristown National Historical Park, determine the status and identify habitats of state and federally listed Threatened, Endangered and Special Concern species, and provide a foundation for long-term monitoring and management practices. In addition, data from this project will be compared with historical information to begin to obtain a general understanding of trends and changes in specific habitats, species composition, and population sizes.
