In 2008 and 2009, park staff deployed four acoustic monitoring systems in City of Rocks National Reserve (CIRO). Each site was deployed for at least 25 days and data were gathered in both on- and off-season conditions. The data collected during this monitoring period will be used to inform an upcoming revision of the park’s general management plan.
