Lynch E. 2008. North Cascades National Park Service Complex Acoustic Monitoring in Wilderness 2008. Natural Resource Report NPS/NRPC/NRTR—2008/001. National Park Service. Fort Collins, Colorado

In the summer of 2008, three acoustic monitoring systems were deployed in wilderness areas of North Cascades National Park Service Complex (NOCA). The purpose of this monitoring effort was to characterize current existing sound levels and estimate natural ambient sound levels in these areas, as well as identify audible sound sources. This data will be used to inform an upcoming wilderness management project.
