Burson S. 2005. Natural Soundscape Monitoring in Yellowstone National Park December 2004 - March 2005. Grand Teton National Park Soundscape Program Report No. 200502. Moose, Wyoming
Sounds associated with oversnow vehicles (snowmobiles and snowcoaches) are an important management concern at Yellowstone National Park. Acoustical standards and thresholds have been defined in park planning documents for the winter use season. The primary purpose of this study was to determine the impact of oversnow vehicles on the natural soundscape.
