The Fisheries Management Program (FMP) addresses, to the extent possible, the status of fish populations in the park, describes desired conditions of fisheries and fish habitat, and details ways to reach or maintain those conditions. Fishery management concerns are really twofold: (1) declines in the abundance of fish; and, (2) loss of quality fishing opportunities. This report is focused on evaluation of fisheries management alternatives to meet the Park’s resource management goal of sustainable fisheries resources.
