Docket refers to a water source, diversion canal, and point of use that are all outside the boundary of Capitol Reef National Park. "Rush Lake" is labeled as Morrell Pond on the Geyser Peak 7.5' quadrangle. The diversion ditch is part of a system of ditches that bring water to the Baker Ranch north of the park. The reason that it may have been included is that one of the ditches that contributes to the system intercepted water flowing into the park. This ditch, ("Baker Ditch"?), is no longer functional. However, there appear to be a number of water rights claims associated with the ditch including 95-229, 95-199, and 94-5. Family member that used to own the Baker Ranch, stated that most of these water rights had been turned over to the state department of wildlife resources. (See Preliminary Docket Information Form)
