Report designed to help superintendents complete the responsibilities of their jobs uner the obligations of 106. The technical assistance manual is designed to provide user-friendly information, advice, and guidance for superintendents and their staffs to complete their responsibilities of resource protection and meet their obligations under §106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). Written in simple terms, the manual contains a flow chart, sample letters and forms, bibliography, glossary, and text of laws and regulations. The manual, however, is only part of the Intermountain Region's §I06 tool kit, developed to improve understanding and familiarity with §I06.
