Long-eared owl pellet analysis
George E. 1984. Long-eared owl pellet analysis
Long-eared owl pellets were collected in Saratoga National Historical Park. Pellets were analyzed by identifying skull pieces; only the upper jaw fragments were counted to avoid duplication. It is suggested that owls were primarily hunting in the fields where Microtus populations exist.
