Composite Viewsheds Solar Energy PEIS

Sherrill K and Budde P. 2011. Composite Viewsheds Solar Energy PEIS

The park-specific composite viewsheds as derived from the unit Key Observation POints (KOPs), are intended to provide an initial assessment of potential viewshed influences from within a 25 mile study area radius of the park unit boundary. KOPs have been defined by local park personnel, or named summits from the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) database that occur within park unit boundaries. Composite Viewsheds show the number of visible KOPs from each cell within the area of analysis. The park specific composite viewsheds as derived from the unit KOPs, are intended to provide an initial assessment of potential viewshed influences from within a 25 mile study area radius of the park unit boundary. Data is distributed in file geodatabase Arc 10.x format.
