Members of the undergraduate class Wildlife Techniques at the School of Forest Resources, Univeristy of Georgia conducted an analysis of the white-tailed deer population. An analysis of the deer population based upon the hunter-killed deer has been made annually by the Wildlife Techniques class at the School of Forest Resources, Univeristy of Georgia. Population structure, average weight, antler development, and hunter success are discussed. Additional information on herd health and reproductive status obtained from research collections is included to provided a more comprehensive understanding of the deer population.
